  • Alice as Pilgrim Donkey Teeth
  • Eddie (still absent) as Pilgrim Wandering Bee
  • Jordan as Pilgrim Cloud Giant
  • Declan as Pilgrim Reckless Rock

One Pilgrim out, two Pilgrims In

In the aftermath of Jukku’s letter, B.A. (the previous GM), had to get out of the game for particular reasons, so Fabio (Sassy Rabbit’s player) took the shield and turned the GM for the group, that grow with two new players, Jordan and Declan.

First, a Pilgrim just got out: as Donkey Teeth and Wandering Bee ready themselves to get away, Sassy Rabbit came to them and show them that she could not fly anymore. Looks like she graduated as a Pilgrim, and was not ready to be a Monk of the Flying Temple, even with the Temple missing. Before Donkey Teeth and Wandering Bee go away for searching more clues on the Temple Disappearing, Sassy Rabbit said she would look after the Sages and make sure the king would honor the agreement, giving for Donkey Teeth one of her rubber strings she used to do her “rabbit ears” bangs as a Memento. Albeit left a small tear, Donkey Teeth stayed on the “tough guy” pose when hugging Sassy Rabbit, that was somehow crying, as she couldn’t say when (or if) she could find her good friend again. After leaving Jukku, without Sassy Rabbit, Donkey Teeth and Wandering Bee noted that Muurgh, the Dragon grow a lot, almost doubling on size, and even formed a kind of weird biome on itself.

In the meantime, Pilgrims Cloud Giant (Jordan) and Reckless Rock (Declan), were going back the Temple, totally oblivious on the fact that The Temple is Missing, beside hearing some creepy gossip about the event. They were saving some worlds in the Heaven of Dust, by helping the local farmers on the crop growing. When going back, they found some flying boats and ships that were flying away from the Many Worlds’ core, getting away from where the Flying Temple (supposely) is. When getting into the largest of those ships, people said for the pilgrims bad news: the Temple had Gone and the Worlds’ orbits are collapsing! They also say about the Dragon, and said the Dragon is really big, as their teeth were as big as Cloud Giant (that was really HUGE!!!!) and about how the Temple’s abscence is making the Cosmos grow chaotic, the people in the ship that talked with Cloud Giant and Reckless Rock the last one that escaped from one of the ill-fated planets that crashed with others.

Cloud Giant thought that he could just avoid the planet problem with his strenght and Reckless Rock though that the Dragon could not be that big. Reckless Rock stubbornly though the Temple was still there, and though that he would not believe if he couldn’t see that by his own eyes, so he gone back to where the Temple is (was, in fact). So, they gone for the Many Worlds’ Core, even everyone saying them that there was just darkness and debris where the Temple once was. They felt the opression caused by the Temple’s abscence.

In the meantime, Donkey Teeth was a little uneasy, as there’s no more Sassy Rabbit to help her, Wandering Bee just too much out-of-this-world to be helpful (justifying Eddie’s abscense). She then chose to get back where the Temple was so she could meditate and find some answers on what happened. When they came where the Temple was, she saw two Pilgrims lost and looking the Temple’s debris. They were exactly Reckless Rock and Cloud Giant, that was almost stampeded by Muurgh, Donkey Teeth didn’t stopped Muurgh at time. Reckless Rock and Cloud Giant saw Donkey Teeth and got over the Dragon and presented each other.

Now, there’s more Pilgrims…

And this is good.

The Letter and the Slavers

In the meanwhile, while looking for things in Muurgh’s biome, Donkey Teeth found something into a tree hole. She pushed this and she found a little piece of paper folded into a letter. A childish handwriting show the recipient “To the Pilgrims of the Flying Temple”. When they unfold the paper, they read the Lost One letter (Do - Fate of the Flying Temple, p. 121), where Little Molly asks for some help to find where the local animals are. They discovered that Molly is from a planet called Vigro. So, they departed to Vigro with Muurgh. While thinking on Vigro, they discovered that Vigro is basically a kind of forest planet, with 40-miles diameter, with some sea and only a continent, like a kind of wooden Australia. They think that the Dragon is the main link between them and the Temple, as even the Temple missing, letters stay coming (and brought to the Dragon).

Donkey Teeth also said Reckless Rock and Cloud Giant all about how they discovered that the Temple had gone and so that they discovered at Jukku that the Temple provided copies on their books everywhere, so spreading all around the Many Worlds the knowledge that was (they believed) centralized at the Temple, which looks like a kind of contingency for a catastrophe.

In their way to Vigro, they found some big ships attacking smaller ones that were getting away from the Many Worlds’ Core. They tried to argue with the slavers, but they only gone for fighting against the Pilgrims. Donkey Teeth gone for with Muurgh to try to rip the slavers ships’ cannons off, but was unsuccessful. In the meantime, Cloud Giant tried to also rip off the cannons, and he got a Success with a Style, ripping them and throwing them in the skies, taking out the ships are characters against the Pilgrims, making everyone nearby Scared from Cloud Giant as a boost.

After that, and recognizing the Pilgrims as they are, one of them screamed “GUYS, SHOOT'EM ALL!!!”, and the bad guys took some steampunk-looking gatling guns and shooting against the Pilgrims (“BUDDA-BUDDA-BUDDA-BUDDA!”), specially against Reckless Rock, that did a kind of laughing off-tone as a Flashy defense… Not too much effective, as he took a Stress 3 attack doing some bruises on his body, albeit with no real Consequences on it. After the guys in the deck do their attack, some guys on Ornithopters got to the attack that got and attacked Reckless Rock again, but he defended himself against the Ornithopters guys with his cloak.

To finish this round, Reckless Rock described some of the epic strenght feats from Cloud Giant (some of them he didn’t even know), but a Success with a Style, he took the Scared boost and turned it into a Scared as Hell with THREE FREE INVOKES! (YIIPEEE!!!).

And in the next round, Cloud Giant uses his THREE INVOKES on the Scared as Hell Aspects for a +6 bonus and with another Success with a Style he basically make the slavers going running away, seeing that Cloud Giant had took and twisted the cannon like it was nothing in the best Superman style! They run away like the Devil himself showed for them. They freed the captured people and left them into those ships, so they could go away for next, not before the captives says that some people now think that as there’s no more Temple, they could do what they want.

After this, the Pilgrims gone for Vigro.

In Vigro

As they approach Vigro, they have a comparision on how big Muurgh as now: in Jukku, he could walk with the Pilgrims like a big puppy, but at Vigro, Muurgh was big enough to cast a shadow at Vigro. Muurgh felt a little sad by being left behind. Vigro was basically a big Australia-like forest. The Pilgrims arrived on the shore nearby a big fairytale-looking village. There’s some walls and little huts, made on wood and masonry, with a Town Hall at North. The streets were all mansonry.

The Pilgrims gone to a nearby house and talked with a plump woman, looking for Molly. The woman says that Molly is daughter of Jefter, the main woodchucker from the region, that were at the time at the local Blacksmith. The woman give the directions for the Pilgrims to the Blacksmith and them they gone. The Pilgrims could see that people in the place dresses themselves like they were into a Grimm Brother’s, fake German, style.

When they arrive at the Blacksmith, he is sharpening the axes and saws for another man there: it’s Jefter, Molly’s dad. The Blacksmith recognize the Pilgrims as foreigners, and when the Pilgrims asks for Molly, the other man, Jefter, looks for the Pilgrims. Jefter is somwhat pissed with the Pilgrims, as Molly is missing for some days, and he blames the Pilgrims, as she send the letter asking for help to find “that pesky dog” (in fact, more than the dog). The Pilgrims replied, saying that she said in the letter she would wait for them. Jefter looks a little guilt on all this.

The Pilgrims says that they would find Molly, but Jefter is somehow skeptic, as Molly went to the forest, and there’s dangerous creatures at the forest, like Ogres and similar monsters. Even the woodchuckers and lumberjacks avoid to get too deep into the forest because of the dangerous creatures. In fact, this only make Reckless Rock goes even more stubborn into getting in the forest, without preparing himself for the dangers there, going mad as a March Hare. Cloud Giant follows Reckless Rock, while Donkey Teeth got to talk a little more with Jefter and the Blacksmith.

Jefter assumes it was his fault what is happening now: he didn’t heard when Molly said there was lots of animals missing, and he thought it was all about Tivoli, his main pet dog. He doesn’t know what happened with Tivoli, but he knows that’s there’s a kind of mystical mist, that “eats the animal’s flesh”. There’s just some cows and goats in the village, that stays behind the village’s walls, as all animals that get out the walls to the forest is never saw again. Even Donkey Teeth feeling something is wrong, she could see Jefter is telling the truth.

The Forest

In the meanwhile, Reckless Rock and Cloud Giant run into the forest without looking for anything, Reckless Rock running mad as a March Hare. It was when they got into a close glade into the deep forest, with lots of woods nearby. Reckless Rock see no sign of Molly there, even trying to look for sources of light, as in the letter Molly said she had a flashlight. Reckless Rock started to call for Molly. When they hear a kind of howling, and the grass nearby moves very creepily, while non-human shadows could be saw.

The howling could be heard at the village, and that was the sign Donkey Teeth needed to see that Reckless Rock and Cloud Giant had themselves into trouble, and runned for the Reckless Rock and Cloud Giant, that are now circled by a big group of monsters. Reckless Rock tried to lullaby everyone, but as he was really bad into the roll, there was an Advantage where he accidently provoked the monsters that was full on resentment against humans that tried to take over the forest from them. The wolfman attacked Reckless Rock, that tried to run to Defend himself by making him lost his scent, and the Wolfmen avoided to cross the Stream. Cloud Giant them Provoked them by asking if they ate the animals, but the monsters are so hungry for flesh, as there’s no animals nearby in the last two moons, and the monsters looked like they were ready to eat meat… the Pilgrim’s meat! The wolfman was so intimidating that Cloud Giant got Scared as Hell, as the wolfman looked mad and ready to chop his limbs apart. Even smaller then Cloud Giant, he had claws and teeth and sadistic attitude and a craving for meat!

Reckless Rock looked for trying to get nearby the wolfman from behind, and gone behind the wolfman very easily with a Success with a Style, while Donkey Teeth find the monsters circling Reckless Rock and Cloud Giant. Donkey Teeth called for the monsters, and it was so very successful, that they looked on a so big rage on her that she needed to run to avoid being Dinner. The Contest started with Donkey Teeth avoiding being eaten and taking them as far she could from the others. Donkey Teeth gain time for Reckless Rock to remove the Scared as Hell Aspect on Cloud Giant, albeit losing his Aspect on Shadowing the Wolfman in the process. Reckless Rock and Cloud Giant take his time to create a Trap, and Cloud Giant suggest to do a big hole, and Reckless Rock doing his lullaby again to call for the monsters attention.

Donkey Teeth uses the Lullaby as an advantage, but this time the Monsters got nearby enough to Donkey Teeth feel their foul smell. Donkey Teeth uses her teeth to break a tree and put it in the way of the monsters. But at the roll, there was a tie in the Contest… Which means that some kind of turning event happened.

The monsters cornered and flanked the Pilgrims, and looked like this time they’ll be toast. And it was when everyone felt a kind of small earthquake when something stomped the ground nearby while walking, making even those monsters getting scared as a big shadow casted behind the pilgrims…

Which was that? They’ll discover next session…

Session 3 - Saving Jukku (2017-09-03)

PCs

The Astronomer and the Librarian

The previous Session left us with the Pilgrims now knowing what was happening: Jukku was to be flooded by Ishida!

While Wandering Bee does his research at the Library (which explains why Eddie was out), Donkey Teeth and Sassy Rabbit got to the Observatory by fly with the Dragon. Sassy Rabbit made Murrgh stay outside and they two got to talk with a woman that worked in the Observatory, and Sassy Rabbit asks for her about Ishita and Rova. The astronomer, Jella, put some astral maps and showed that, albeit all the planets were gone chaotic because the abscense of the Temple, Ishida and Rova looks like going straight against Jukku, like something was pulling them to Jukku.

And only people as powerful as the Monks were able to manipulate the planets orbit, that wasn’t see in Jukku by most. Jela talked about how the monks pushed the planets out of the orbit. Donkey Teeth asked about migratory patterns for animals and animals big enough to drink Ishita, but this would be not enough. Also, she said about registries and chronicles about the time the monks were in Jukku, so Donkey Teeth and Sassy Rabbit thought it could be a good idea to get and read that to discover if someone were using monks’ techniques to pull Ishida to Jukku. And there’s just 72 hours to avoid the problem, they could not waste any time.

Jella was also excited when she discovered the Pilgrims were there with a Dragon, and she come to see it with some cookies, which make Muurrggh very excited, and Sassy Rabbit tried to put it on a good behavior. Jella was really worried with the idea to feed the cookies to the Dragon, leaving the action for Sassy Rabbit. Jella asked them how rare is to have with a Dragon, and Sassy Rabbit said that the Dragon was hatched from an egg that were where the Temple was. Jella said that was really weird and thanked the Pilgrims by showing her the Dragon. And Donkey Teeth reinforced on how the Dragon was polite, and Sassy Rabbit said that were not an excuse to not be well-behaviored.

They got back to the Kingdom and chosed to go to the library. They saw Yotta, that already knew about the talk between Jella and them, and about the cookies. Sassy Rabbit asked about any chronicles or even clues about the last time the monks of the Flying Temple was there, and Yotta said they could introduce them for Vato, the librarian.

Vato was very old, 80+ years. Donkey Teeth came all aboard, and Sassy Rabbit stopped her, while getting to the Librarian. Vato was busy but could answers some questions for them. Sassy Rabbit asked for the chronicles for the last time the Monks were in Jukku, but Vato said that only the King and the Great Sages could be access for this. Sassy Rabbit said that they were in a hurry and that the flood would kill people if they don’t stop this, while Donkey Teeth said that that was not Nature’s force, but someone using the Monks techniques, that was pulling Ishida against Jukku. Vato was irredutible, and Sassy Rabbit tried to emphatize the too few time they had and to the fact that Vato looked like a guy that was wise, but Vato was irreductible.

Sassy Rabbit used the fact that The Temple was missing! to say that they were the best option Jukku had for helping, and Sassy Rabbit entered a Contest against the Vato, saying about how important was for them to read the chronicles books for any kind of clue they could on about the techniques and so, but Vato only answers for the King and the Sages on this topic. Sassy Rabbit lost somewhat her temper and used her Stunt to put Vato into a Elegant Defense to put him using just his worst Approach (Sneaky) on his next action and somewhat tried to intimidate him. But Vato was pushing hard, but Donkey Teeth revealed his teeth, and Sassy Rabbit pushed him really hard.

Vato hit a button below his table and said on how to obtained a permission to the chronicles and said were the books are. Also said that those books were left by the monks. Yotta said that the Library was not public, only the King and Sages could access… Sassy Rabbit also said Yotta that they were running out of time and so there’s no time for niceties… With a +7! Yotta said that they should wait for the morning, for Sassy Rabbit’s exasperation.

An unexpected visit in the night

Yotta pushed them to the guest rooms, for Sassy Rabbit exasperation. While Donkey Teeth tried to calm down her friend, Sassy Rabbit couldn’t believe on the kind of secret they were hiding about the Monks, so something was fishy on this all.

Donkey Teeth said that maybe that was nothing, but Sassy Rabbit remembered her on their talk with Jella, all about the non-chaotic movement Ishida and Rova had, even with the Temple missing. Donkey Teeth suggested to break on the library, but Sassy Rabbit was not convinced they should try this. Donkey Teeth suggested to go to sleep, but Sassy Rabbit was still thinking on there’s something fishy on that.

With another +4, Sassy Rabbit heard the door being unlocked, while Donkey Teeth was sleeping. Sassy Rabbit was so pissed that she thougt that, if someone want to see her mad as a Hatter, they would see. She saw two masked people getting in and going nearby herself and Donkey Teeth. When they get nearby, Sassy Rabbit goes and BOOH! them to a big scare! Donkey Teeth also was awaken by Sassy Rabbit’s scare on the guys. And while Donkey Teeth tried to bite her hooded guy, Sassy Rabbit used her bed sheet as bolas to lock her hooded guy’s feet, making him trip and fall. Donkey Teeth bites his opponent wooden weapon, while Sassy Rabbit made the guy trip.

The other guy evades, when Sassy Rabbit says Donkey Teeth they already had one to talk with. Sassy Rabbit started to intimidate that guy, saying that she was now really mad as a March Hare and that she wants to know what he wanted to do with them, OR ELSE… Donkey Teeth tried to take her guy, but he could escape, even Donkey Teeth biting his pants.

The guy was shaking and frozen, not answering them. Donkey Teeth used her teeth to intimidate him, while Sassy Rabbit took him by the collar and said if he doesn’t talk what’s happening, she would left him to Donkey Teeth (by this providing Passive Teamwork +1 for Donkey Teeth). The guy was freaking out with all this, because Sassy Rabbit was as much un-Pilgrim-ish as possible, really mad as a Hatter. Donkey Teeth was successful, and the guy started to ask to not be hurt, to which Sassy Rabbit says he’ll not be hurt if he talks about what’s happening.

Sassy Rabbit asked on who send him and why, but the guy stayed on begging for his life (he didn’t know that Sassy Rabby would not hurt him for serious and that she was just pushing him to spill the beans). The guy was sent to convince the Pilgrims to leave, so there was someone that wanted the Pilgrims out and that would profit on this all. Sassy Rabbit just wanted even more to know who send them. The guy said that the Pilgrims should go, because whatever they would discover would only bring problems, and Sassy Rabbit asked whom. The guy said “everyone” and Sassy Rabbit said if this included people that would be flooded by Ishida.

Donkey Teeth said that he knew that they would not hurt him, so this would not work, so Sassy Rabbit asked Donkey Teeth to “do the honors”. In the same time, the Dragon woke up and started to growl, the Pilgrims upsetting making him upset too. Sassy Rabbit has the idea to show the guy for his little friend outside, A.K.A. the Dragon. That was not a good idea, as the guy fainted when looking the Dragon. Sassy Rabbit and Donkey Teeth didn’t allowed Murrgh to do anything with the guy, as this could give it a stomach ache.

The commotion made was enough to call the guards to the Pilgrim’s room. When the Captain (yep, the same one that arrested Sassy Rabbit) came, he asked what the Pilgrims were doing with one of the Great Sages (the hooded guy). Angry and exasperated with the revelation, Sassy Rabbit said the Sage tried to attack them on their beds. The Captain didn’t looked amused enough. They took the Sage and got out the room, while Sassy Rabbit controlled back Murrgh saying that eat the Sage would give him a stomach ache (again).

All this commotion worked the rest of the castle, and them the Sage wake up saying that was just a misunderstanding, which make Sassy Rabbit really, really, mad. Donkey Teeth was the one to stop Sassy Rabbit to worse things that time (what a time!). The Guards looks unhappy with Sassy Rabbit being so posh and making threats and demands, and Donkey Teeth was really trying to stop Sassy Rabbit to do a big mistake. Sassy Rabbit compelled her Banner and that was the last straw on all this for her and gone for the Sage and said “You messed up with the wrong Pilgrim!”, making everyone looking on how she was out of the box. More Guards came to the room and everyone was convinced Sassy Rabbit attacked the Sage, and Donkey Teeth needed to stop Sassy Rabbit on a Contest.

Sassy Rabbit was crazy because they were running out of time, and Donkey Teeth said that they should no be arrested or banished from Jukku, because that this would not help. Sassy Rabbit asked why the Sage attacked them, and Donkey Teeth said her they should discover this after, while they were somehow fighting, Donkey Theet trying to stop and Sassy Rabbit trying to not be stopped. As Donkey Teeth stops Sassy Rabbit and hold her, the Guards got the Sage out safely, and a frustrated and sad Sassy Rabbit remembers herself on the situation of Jukku population, that’s being treated as trash, and started to cry copiously.

Before they go sleep, the Sages lock the Pilgrims at their room. One of them, the Third one, looks for them and says that is important that Ishida crashes against Jukku, and the Pilgrims grow abashed with this. He says that is the Way of the Nature, but also says that he was the one pulling Ishida against Jukku. Donkey Teeth call this insanity, and Sassy Rabbit basically says they are murderers. As he says that the Pilgrims would not understand, Sassy Rabbit says that the Sages should not lecturing or being condescending with them, as they are Pilgrims, not kids, and they saw things he would not believe it’s true.

The Flying Temple Books

The Sage made them a propose: he could show them the books in the Library Private Collection for them, to show them that they should not interfere. Sassy Rabbit was suspicious, while Donkey Teeth says that was their idea all the time. The Sage bring them to the Library, and Varo opened to the Private Collection for them. The Sage shows the books and they recognized them as Books from the Flying Temple. He took one of them, very old and with the symbols of the Flying Temple, and opened it. The book was about the Moviment of the Planet. Sassy Rabbit just want to understand why he’s doing this craziness, and Donkey Teeth askes how they have all this, as The Temple is Missing!

The Sage says that this is exactly the reason they have those books, as The Monks scattered some of the Books all around the Many Worlds for safekeeping, almost as they were foreseeing the Temple disappearence! For centuries, some Monks left at Jukku (and, as far they came into, all around the Many World) some copies or even originals of the Flying Temple books. So, they were using the techniques learned with the Flying Temple books to pulling the planets. Sassy Rabbit was learning…

The Sage said Jukku was dying, as shown by earthquakes growing in number, and the King was trying to rally people to safety, but the common people didn’t believe as they couldn’t see the danger coming. The Sage’s plan was to bring Ishida and somewhat shows a “real” disaster and convince people to hear the King and get out Jukku. Sassy Rabbit was skeptic on if this would work and worried with the risks involved, so she asked to look for the book. The Sage slams the book and says that only some people could learn those techniques, like the Monks, and them as Pilgrims would be not powerful enough to learn those techniques. Only the wisest people could learn this, said the Sage.

He understands Sassy Rabbit’s worries, but says that they could do this safely, but Sassy Rabbit is not convinced. Sassy Rabbit wants to see if she could learn this, but the Sage tries to make Sassy Rabbit see that they are doing their best. Sassy Rabbit is a little upset, as people are blind for the danger, no information at all, which could grow into a widespread panic. The Sage, however, says that by provoking a “controlled” flood, they could put at people heads the need to get out. The King know about this plan and is all on it… Or so says the Sage.

Sassy Rabbit has no reason to believe it, and Donkey Teeth is skeptic also. Sassy Rabbit says that they and Murrgh made more to make people aware of dangers than the Sages. The Sages and the King, he says, are all respecting the ways of Nature, but the King also have responsibilities for his people and protect them. Donkey Teeth questions that people would see the signs of the planet dying, like crops failing, animals dying and so, and this would convince them to leave out Jukku. The Sage says, however, that they already are having this problem, and they don’t know in practice how much time they have before Jukku dies, and they need to convince people to start get out Jukku and they want to do this by convincing them about the natural disasters and that the planet will be flooded.

Donkey Teeth asked on how they will move the people, and the Third Sage says the King has plans on this, but they need how things will go. Sassy Rabbit is very concerned that things can goes amok very easily, as Ishida is so big and full of water. The Sage agrees with Sassy Rabbit, but he says that this is what the King wants to do, but the Pilgrims could help him to convince the King to be more energetic on the relocation plan. Sassy Rabbit is not convinced, but Donkey Teeth sounds convinced, no matter how crazy this stuff sounds.

Sassy Rabbit still wants to read the book, and the Sage still doesn’t want her to see it, and it’s when Varo shows himself saying that the Library is closing. No matter how much Sassy Rabbit says that there’s no more Temple and they are the near thing anyone can see by now from a monk, the Third Sage is adamant on that only monks and Sages could read those books. Donkey Teeth convince Sassy Rabbit there’s no need of a ruse and they should accept things as they are by now. Vato ushers the Pilgrims out the Library and Sassy Rabbit, already on the worst of her humor says that they Pilgrims should just get out Jukku and leave them by their own, as they can’t help people that doesn’t want to be helped. Donkey Teeth says they should talk with Yotta at morning to decide the next steps.

They find Yotta, that was in his pyjamas as an Assistant of the Sages (so he was also woke up with all the commotion before) and he asked what’s going on, and Donkey Teeth talks all the Sage told them. Yotta is abashed, as he never heard about the planet dying and those plans, and is very odd, as he works for the Sages, so he would heard something like that. He feels the Sages is upsetting the Nature with those plans. Sassy Rabbit confirms that the Sages are using Flying Temple’s techniques to do this, but they weren’t allowed to see those books. Yotta looked confused on this, and he feels there’s no safe place. They need to talk to the King, while Sassy Rabbit is really hopeless on the Sages, and for her a uprising from the people would be the only way to save them, by saying them the truth.

Donkey Teeth can’t believe that the people would do this, and Sassy Rabbit says that they could do this by saying the truth using part of the lies the Sages created about. Yotta looks odd, as they had earthquakes all the times, as Jukku is somewhat big, but there’s odd on how the Sages trying to see things, and Sassy Rabbit says the Sages are thinking on protect their own skin. For Yotta everything is very odd, as the Sages sounds always as very honest people, so the only option that they still have against that weird plan is go for the King. But Sassy Rabbit says they should go by now, but otherwise the Sages could have time to brand the Pilgrims as crazy and Yotta as a traitor before anything. Yotta, otherwise, says they should do this by the book or otherwise they would raise suspicious that they should not.

Yotta says that they should get away the Castle for some hours while Yotta do the preparations, and Sassy Rabbit agrees, saying Donkey Teeth to take Wandering Bee (that was sleepy) and go to Muurgh and get away the Castle. They could, worst case, sleep over him, as the Dragon is big enought to support all of them. They get outside the city and lift a camp like the one in the start of all this. Yotta would send for them when everything is ready. Sassy Rabbit is so stressful that she doesn’t want to play with Murrgh, and she says for him that is not about him, but she isn’t in the mood for playing (very rare of Sassy Rabbit!), and Donkey Teeth gets to play with Murrg to pass the time. Sassy Rabbit is so need on some sleep that they ask them to stop. So they do and get to take some rest.

With the King and the Council of Jukku

Next day, a hooded figure came to the Pilgrims: it’s Yotta saying he arranged for the Pilgrims be received to the Council of Jukku and to the King, but they needed to go now. Although still angry with all this, Sassy Rabbit put herself on her best to go for it, while Donkey Teeth was really excited with this.

They were sent for the Throne Room, and they could see all the people looking for them. In the Throne there was a very regal man on it, obviously the King of Jukku, with her wife and other personalities. Sassy Rabbit is very stressed out and almost forgot her manners, but Donkey Teeth saves them by politely saying that they were concerned on the Plan that the King was talking about. The King sounded confused on all this, and the Pilgrims talked about the Plans that the Sage was doing under (supposely) the King’s knowledge.

The King looks abashed as he says there’s no Plan that he was knowing about. Looks like there was no Plan, at least on King’s knowledge: he know about Ishida going toward Jukku, but nothing about any plan. Sassy Rabbit tries to read the King, and see that he is totally genuine on not knowing about any plan. There was no Sages there at the moment, and Sassy Rabbit pushes to the King get the Sages NOW!!! on a very unrespectful way that makes the King goes angry with her, saying that he doesn’t takes orders and the Pilgrims were guests and should behave if want to stay that way. Sassy Rabbit humble herself and beg for calling the Sages, as sounds for Sassy Rabbit that the Sages are hiding something. Donkey Teeth confirms that the Third Sage talked all this Plan for them.

The King is abashed, because he doesn’t asked for this, and Jukku was there for millions of years, and he thinks if the Sages were really on this, and the Pilgrims knew that they are. Donkey Teeth says that maybe there’s altercations in the middle of Sages. The King talks with the Captain to bring the Sages to the Council and Donkey Teeth emphatizes the hurry, because they don’t know what they could do together.

Fifteen minutes later, the Six Sages, all draped in very good looking habits, and they got together. The First Sage asked politely why they were there, and the King talked about the history the Pilgrims brought to him about controlling the planets with the techniques learned with the Monks of the Flying Temple, which the First Sage denies. The Third Sage looked a little worried, however, giving some steps back, as he knew they talked about this with the Pilgrims. Sassy Rabbit reveals that the Third Sage showed them about “a certain book in the Private Collection in the Library” left by the Monks and that could allow those who learn from it to control the Planet’s movement, controling the skies, and by this way they would be ushering Ishida and Rova towards Jukku.

Before any of the Sages tries anything, Donkey Teeth says the King to make sure that the Sages could not be able to get away from the Throne Room, and the Third Sage says that he have nothing to fear and doesn’t know what the Pilgrims are talking about, and the Pilgrims asks why he stepped back if so on, and Sassy Rabbit said about his breaking into the Pilgrims room. The Third Sages says that the Pilgrims are outsiders and they were the ones that were bringing the planets agains Jukku, and he tried to imply that, as they are from the Temple, they could do this.

Sassy Rabbit said that it was true that they were from the Temple and that the Monks were powerful enough to control the skies, but they were not powerful enough and didn’t had the knowledge. Also, they didn’t know about the planet movement techniques before the Sage show them the book were the technique was registered. The Sages confirmed the books came from the Temple, but they said they could have learned with the Monks on how to do this, as only the Monks could do this kind of powerful things, pointing to the Pilgrims and asking them to be arrested. Donkey Teeth them rebuked and said that, as the Third Sage said on the library for them, only the wisest could learn that techniques, so they would be available only for real advanced Monks, not Pilgrims like them, in the Temple. The Pilgrims would never learn that kind of knowledge, as they are orphans created by the Temple Monks, and were not ready for this kind of knowledge.

The King is confused on all this and asked the First Sage for his opinion on all this. The Sage looked and said the Sages were really Protectors of Nature, and so they could not change it, but at the same time he read the books the Pilgrims mentioned and he believes the Pilgrims would not be able to use the techniques on them. The King grows upset and almost Angry, as all he knows is there’s a planet going to crash against his own, and he now believes that someone or something is doing this on purpose. Sassy Rabbit thinks that the Third Sage was working rogue on this one, without the other Sages acknowledge. The big question is if the Third Sage was honest on the talking at the library, and this made Sassy Rabbit grows even more crazy and with the idea that something’s fishy on all this.

While Sassy Rabbit looks and tries to read the Third Sage, Donkey Teeth asked the King if they could bring Jella to here, so her could prove the planets are being pushed towards, not part of the chaos that gone into the Many Worlds with the Temple missing. At the same time, Sassy Rabbit says that at least some of the Sages are working on this behind King’s back, almost showing that the Third Sage was going rogue. As the Throne Room was dark, the only Sage the Pilgrims recognize was the Third one, the one who broke into their room and talked to them at the library. In the meanwhile the Third Sage tries to explain the King that he could not control the planets by his own, and the First Sage confirms that one Sage have this power would be unrealistic, but many Sages together could do this, but to this without the King acknowledge would be nonsense, as they are in charge of the King. And this all make the Third Sage even more suspect. The King send the Captain for Jella again and asked the Guards to lock the Throne Room down, so no one could get out.

Jella came in, all abashed with being called to the King, astronomical maps on their hands. The King asked if Jella had seen the Pilgrims before, and Jella confirmed they talked about the planets and so. The King demanded her to talk all about what they talked about, and Jella talked on all their theories and so, and how they came to the conclusion that someone could be using Temple’s techniques to do this. The King came to the conclusion someone is lying to him, and he wants to know who. The King made three Guards get behind the Pilgrims and demanded them to say everything on this planets affair.

Donkey Teeth looks around and see Yotta is not there, and them she says they were called by Yotta shortly after the Temple missing and that the Pilgrims didn’t know anything about this one before the letter came. The First Sage asked if they talked with Yotta, and Sassy Rabbit confirms, also saying that they were called by and showing the letter to the King. When the King looks for the letter, he looked perplexed, as Yotta left the Sages a year before, although working for the Kingdom. Donkey Teeth is abashed. Yotta was one of the sages and was still in the Kingdom, so he could work with someone else to arrange the Pilgrims’ audience with the King, with someone else, maybe a friend in the Sages for a long time.

The King them looked and asked where Yotta is, and the Captain suggested a search against him, and the King ordered it. Then the King looked to the Pilgrims and the Sages and asked whats going on, looking specifically to the Third Sage. The Third Sage stayed on this idea of the Temple Monks sending the Pilgrims to flood Jukku for some mysterious reason, all on the idea that only Monks (and Pilgrims) of the Flying Temple could do this, Donkey Teeth reinforcing they didn’t know anything about this before the letter. The First Sage asked to look to the letter, and Sassy Rabbit present it to the King, that see that the letter had the Official Jukku Kingdom Seal, and the letter was also stamped with the Temple symbols on the problems they would need to deal with. The question was Who authorized this, and this was exactly what the King asked to the Sages, as only the Sages, besides the King, could use the Official Seal.

The King was frustrated, and things doesn’t got better when the Captain came and said Yotta was missing, and they looked everywhere. Donkey Teeth suggested to use Murrgh in the search, as he have (they hope) a good smell sense and he had smelled Yotta before. Sassy Rabbit suggest that they could help by put the Captain at Murrgh, as the Pilgrims could go by flying. But the King forbid everyone to get out until he understands what is happening there, and asked the Captain on all about the Pilgrims, and he talked about how Sassy Rabbit and Donkey Teeth pantsy him and this made Sassy Rabbit get arrested. To their defense, Sassy Rabbit and Donkey Teeth said the Captain could had explain where they were being sent before showing them the prison and why (Donkey Teeth said he was a jerk). The King was angry and asked them to who else they talked with. Sassy Rabbit listed: the Captain, Yotta, Jella, the Third Sage and the King… Ah, and Vato the Librarian.

The King called for Vato, that came. The King asked him about the Monk’s book. And Vato said that only the King and the Sages could ask for the book, and the King asked on who asked for the book, and the Sages were uneasy on this. The First Sage revealed that it was The Third, Fourth and Fifth Sages!

They were conspiring against the King!

The Rogue Sages

The King was perplexed and asked on what they had done, and Sassy Rabbit said that, although one Sage would not have power enough, three certainly could change the movement of the planets! They would had together power enough to rival those of the Monks. The three Sages removes their robes and the Pilgrims could see they had some kind of stones on their hands. They say that Jukku is evil, the Kingdom is corrupt and that the King needs to die and the planet purified by Nature.

Sassy Rabbit get into action before they could do anything against the King, but she failed in her roll, and asked for a Success with a Cost, knocking the stones of their hands before the Guards tackles Sassy Rabbit and put her into a corner. The King now is really mad and demanded to be said on what is happening. The Third Sage repeat what they said before about Jukku being evil and Nature being the only way to purify it. Donkey Teeth is the only one that was unrestrained and could act against the Rogue Sages, as the other Sages were perplexed with the actions of the Rogue Ones. The Rogue Sages were not (in their mind) acting against Sages’ nature as protector of the Nature, but Donkey Teeth says that if they see the Kingdom as corrupt, they should correct it, not drown it.

They took the Temple’s books from the Library and then disappeared from everyone’s eyes, only the First Sage in the room. Donkey Teeth and Sassy Rabbit looked around and felt the Sages used the same teleporting techniques from the Monks, and they could be somewhere 500 to 1000 feet. They come to the Dragon (Sassy Rabbit was freed by the King) and they searched by the Sages, that had gone to their temple.

The temple doors where sealed and Donkey Teeth just CHEWED some of the door to open it. The Sages were into a trance and whatever they were doing was not good. Sassy Rabbit have the idea to make Murrgh goes through the door and asked it to SHOUT OUT LOUD!!!! as way to try to make the Sage get out of the trance. Although this didn’t work. The Pilgrims doesn’t know all about what they are doing, but some hinchs suggested that they were accelerating Ishida and Rova against Jukku! Donkey Teeth than used her Crass out mouth to do the same and Donkey Teeth remember that he was almost expelled from the Temple and Sassy Rabbit and Wandering Bee helped her to get out. That would be the time for her to save the day.

The Sages said it was too late as Ishida would crash against Jukku very soon and stayed on the “The Kingdom is corrupt” trope to justify their actions. Donkey Teeth asked why, and the Sages talked.

Sages were born with powers and they were staple from the kingdom. They were took from early childhood and put into training on how to use the powers and so, but at the cost of no more seeing their family. When a Sage goes away, other were bring to training. And if they are not powerful enough, they were exiled, and their family would never know where they had gone. The Third Sage said that, for 25 years, he never left the Kingdom or saw his family again, and there’s in their mind only a way to escape this slavery. Donkey Teeth suggested to use the Dragon, but the Sages are ready to die for what they believe.

Sassy Rabbit was not against leaving the Sages to drow theirselves, if this would not took others in the splash. The Sage says that everyone knows, or at least heard stories about the Sage’s powers, so they would be as guilty as the King, but Sassy Rabbit said that the common people was not guilty, as was not the Pilgrims. In the Sage mind, the only way to avoid this cycle of slavery of the Sages would be by drowing Jukku. Donkey Teeth was trying to save the Sages, but Sassy Rabbit had enough and was about to leave and try to save Jukku other way. Donkey Teeth tries to do this, although Sassy Rabbit would not try: for her, they deserved whatever happened with them.

Sassy Rabbit gone for a bad cop/good cop to take some advantages to discover Aspects on the Sages, and it was a good success for getting an Aspect Donkey Teeth to convince them that they should avoid the Sages to destroy Jukku. The Sages still talk about the friends they lost and were exiled form the Kingdom because they were not powerful or wise enough. Donkey Teeth tried to talk to their hearts, and they were weakened on their resolution. And they said that their concern is, if someone more powerful than them appears, they would be expelled out of the Kingdom. And with a Success with a Style, they shook out of the trance and get back to help…

When the King came and said to the Guards to expel them and ban them from the Kingdom. Donkey Teeth said they were need to push the planets away from Jukku, and they would not feel at ease to do this knowing about what would happen with them under the barbaric system the kingdom had for the Sages. The King says that it was necessary to take them away from their families.

The King and the Pilgrims them gone into a Contest, when the Pilgrims tried to convince the King that the Sage system was barbaric. Sassy Rabbit tried to read the King but failed, while Donkey Teeth asked to the King to turn the Sage’s career as something worthy of be. Sassy Rabbit screamed that without people, there’s no kingdom, and without a kingdom there’s no King. If the Sages could not do something to reverse the movement of Ishida and Rova, the flood would drown the people, so he would be King of No One. Donkey Teeth remembered lots of events the Temple recorded of what happened when Protectors were brutally treated like the Sages in Jukku.

The King was affected by the Pilgrims’ speeches, and Sages said that all they wanted is to be treated fairly. The King said that they would if Ishida was pushed away back from were it was at the beginning, by word of the King. The Sages accepted and pushed the planets back their places, with the help of the Sages that were not involved in all this. A blue light gone to the sky. Jella looked through a telescope and the planets were stopped and gone backwards back to their places.

So, as far the Pilgrims could say… It was solved that problem…

What could expect the Pilgrims?

We’ll know soon, in the next game!

Session 2 - In Jukku

PCs

There’s no more Temple!

The last session left the Pilgrims with some questions involving the new Dragon friend called Muurrrgghhh, and the Flying Temple disappearence and how things were going amok with this.

The Pilgrims stabished a basecamp in a planet and Sassy Rabbit showed her worries about the fact that The Temple is Missing, while Donkey Teeth shunned this idea and Wandering Bee thought it was really weird everything. Sassy Rabbit questions about the Dragon and how it is linked with the Temple Dissapearence, while Donkey Teeth suggests they should find other pilgrims and monks and Wandering Bee looks that they are out of nowhere, any civilization on this planet being far away from where they are.

Sassy Rabbit still tries to understand the things, and thinks that there’s no more Letters, no more Graduations, just them(?), and Donkey Teeth thinks that they should be the one to stay doing the Temple’s job, which Sassy Rabbit agrees. While Sassy Rabbit and Wandering Bee goes to sleep, Donkey Teeth tried to go for a long distance scouting, until she noted she can only flying in The Dragon’s Nearby sometimes 50 to 200 yards nearby.

After this, everyone take a good night, and they are woke up by The Dragon nudging them, inquisitive, with Donkey Teeth really angry with The Dragon by waking her up. The Dragon is looking for food, and Wandering Bee tries to give him some nice healthy loaf of wheat bread, but The Dragon just shuns the bread. They discover that The Dragon likes some treats and sweets and they fly away from the basecamp to find somewhere to buy some food.

The Pilgrims flies to find a place for food, and they find a modern city, but surronded by sand, like an Oasis, with tent markets and smaller buildings, and Sassy Rabbit suggest to get to the city and go to the market and buy things (or at least barter some by service if needed), The Dragon pointing for the direction to the food, and Donkey Teeth wanting so much for food that her belly growls very awkward. She takes The Dragon and goes with it to the market.

Sassy Rabbit thought Donkey Teeth would use The Dragon as a way to take food for granted as alms offered by people, but Sassy Rabbit is up to work for food. Then they goes for the market

In the market

The pilgrims gets into the market, and they saw all kind of nuts and flowers and spices and beef stew vendors, even the cities nearbys being desertic. But people looked horrified with that dragon, that gone from vendor to vendor, growling with hunger and smelling the food, but Sassy Rabbit goes and reasons the Dragon (!?) by making a scene while retorting the Dragon, waving a finger to the Dragon when he tries to take some pie and saying that they should pay for food, no rob people, while the Dragon gaves some steps back, looking sad.

While scamping back, The Dragon messed a tent, where a vendor was vending some artistic rugs. Donkey Teeth made The Dragon stops, everything turning down when the Dragon moves his tail all around. The pilgrims help the vendor back to his feet and present themselves to her and they talks a little about the Dragons, when they hear steps.

The pilgrims see a group of guards that looks for the mess the Dragon did, and while Donkey Teeth looks to protect the Dragon, Sassy Rabbit presents herself for the guards, trying to argue that as the Dragon acts like a puppy, he’s a little clumsy and he didn’t made all the mess on purpose. The guards were not amused on the Dragon, and they goes for the Dragon, that starts to get worried and upset. While Donkey Teeth tries to reason the guards, Sassy Rabbit uses her Banner and goes really Sassy against the guards, by bringing their attention against herself, making them look away from the Dragon. In meantime, Wandering bee open his little jar of bees, just in case and Donkey Teeth tried to Corral the Dragon out of the way.

Wandering Bee’s bees were not successful on distract the guards, and then the Guards’ captain came and asked about what’s happening and what’s the dragon. Donkey Teeth said that they brought the Dragon and that it accidently destroyed the vendor’s tent stomping all around. Donkey Teeth tried to reason that it is really big, and just that moment the Dragon gone and acted like a puppy and made some other tents gone down. Sassy Rabbit gone to calm the Dragon, while Donkey Teeth convinced the guard to take some candy for the Dragon, while escorting them out of the city. The Guard leader went angry when Donkey Teeth asked for candy and Sassy Rabbit talked the Dragon liked so much candy that it could be corraled outside with candy. The Captain accept this and the Dragon and Pilgrims are corraled out the market.

The Guards

Sassy Rabbit talked with the Dragon and said the Guards would be okay with him, going to a more populated region in the city center, and so. The Captain said they would go for a place where the Pilgrims and the Dragon would be safe, safe for everybody: they could not have a Dragon swinging his tail and destroying things, and they would be safe until they would knew who the Pilgrims are. Sassy Rabbit tried to reason the Captain again, by explaining how they found the Dragon and how the kid was like a little baby, but the Captain was irredutible about put the Pilgrims somewhere they could be safe and about the Dragon being destructible.

The Pilgrims are bringing to a region that, in fact, was the local jail. Sassy Rabbit invokes her Banner to provoke some mischief and make the Guards run against her, leaving time for Donkey Teeth and Wandering Bee to run away with the Dragon. With a Success with a Style, Sassy Rabbit create the Distraction for Donkey Teeth and Wandering Bee, and she looks like something is fishy on all this, as there’s no charges. Sassy Rabbit showed her tongue to the Guards and ran around them and make them confused and pissed off with her, while Donkey Teeth pantsed the Captain to humble him. Wandering Bee uses the bees to escape from there. The Dragon stays behind, though, while Donkey Teeth and Wandering Bee goes for the top of the roofs. The Guards where distressed while the Dragon flew away from the situation, while Donkey Teeth goes to it.

Sassy Rabbit was running from some Guards that called reinforcements and pointed some spears to them. Sassy Rabbit tried to reason them (or somehow intimidate them) saying they would not like to see her mad, but as the little sassy pilgrim she is she could not do anything. The Guards captures Sassy Rabbit, dragging her back to the Captain and put her in the prison.

The Prison and the Letter

While Sassy Rabbit was being arrested, Donkey Teeth retorted the Dragon, that was very uneasy and upset, and needed to be calm down by Donkey Teeth. Wandering Bee was in the flying range from the Dragon, and got back with Donkey Teeth, but they didn’t know about Sassy Rabbit’s whereabouts. Donkey Teeth asked Wandering Bee on Sassy Rabbit’s whereabout and he says that Sassy Rabbit was arrest, and they came to the idea that the Captain is not for diplomacy. To ease things, they looked for a place to hide the Dragon.

While Sassy Rabbit looks in the prison and see that she gone really overboard that time, Donkey Teeth and Wandering Bee looked for a place in the city to hide themselves and the Dragon, Wandering Bee trying to parley or bargain for Sassy Rabbit’s freedom, and they needed to deal with the fact that the Dragon was still hungry. Both were worried on how hungry the Dragon would get, but it had some convulsion like moves and cough up an object, that Donkey Teeth got.

They were abashed when saw that the object was a Letter to the Flying Temple, saying about the need of a certain Yotta, assistant of the Great Sages of Jukku, where the Pilgrims actually were. A big water planet called Ishida passed nearby Jukku frequently and provided the water Jukku needed. However, Jukku was in risk to be flooded by Ishida, as another planet, Rova, was pushing Ishida against Jukku in a colision route. Yotta needed to convince the Sages to help to rescue people (the complete letter is on Do: Fate of the Flying Temple p. 118). They would need to get back, find Yotta and use the letter as a way to leverage to get Sassy Rabbit out of jail. Wandering Bee suggested to find Yotta. And they discovered thatr the Dragon itself bring the letter.

Sassy Rabbit was going bananas in the meanwhile, screaming about and the Captain gone to her to go for the main room. A table were there, and the Captain started to interrogate Sassy Rabbit, trying to discover why they tried to run away, and Sassy Rabbit sttutered, because she was just trying to protect people, and to calm down the Dragon. The Captain was not so convinced, and he thought there was a plan, so he would send Sassy Rabbit to be judged and punished by the Great Sages, because of all the mess they did.

Yotta and the Planets

Meanwhile, Donkey Teeth thought on how to get to the Sages (and to Yotta), and she came to the conclusion that the biggest building in the center of the city should be the best place to find the Sages. But they would go for with the Dragon. Donkey Teeth though on use the letter as a way to avoid problems. They would proclaim they were searching Yotta, although they knew that maybe a decree about the silence on Ishida issue would be on hold. Wandering Bee thought on getting back to the city entrance and proclaim about Yotta, and so work this as an advantage to avoid problem and Donkey Teeth agreed, paying a Fate Point for this.

The Guards in the city entrance knows about the Pilgrims, and asked them to halt, but Donkey Teeth used the Letter as a way to Flashily opening their way, saying they had an audience with the Sages. They asked also for candy or fruits for the Dragon, and the guard gave a candy bar for the Dragon. The guard go back with some extra guards to escort Wandering Bee and Donkey Teeth to the Sages.

Also, there’s a guard that came to talk with the Captain, that was still with Sassy Rabbit, and the Captain said that the other Pilgrims came for her to go for the Sages, the guard and the Captain escorted Sassy Rabbit back to the other Pilgrims. Then the Captains asked about the Letter and Donkey Teeth presents it for the Captain. The Captain was also a little upset on being pantsed, but everything was alright… Somewhat…

But Sassy Rabbit knew nothing about the Letter, even about the existence of it. Donkey Teeth said about the Letter and Sassy Rabbit asked about it, and learned about the planets situation. The Captain then escorted the Pilgrims to the Grand Palace, where the Pilgrims (and the Dragon) would eat and then encounter with Yotta. They asked about the planets with Captain, and they discovered that, with The Temple Missing, the planet move was quicker and that was the reason about the possible colision. It would be a natural rainy season, but the things had gone amok with the Temple Missing.

They also discovered that the problem was not the people leaving the city, but the City would be destroyed and Jukku itself would be underwater. Sassy Rabbit said they should evacuate the citizens, but teh Guardian said that they were up to accept things if needed. The Captain said that they would evacute the city, but that they maybe would have nowhere to go, as Jukku was otherwise a desert planet and that breaking the nature was worse. Donkey Teeth said that the better solution was in the middle, and that maybe the Pilgrims were not the best to help, but the Guardian put his confidence on them.

They get into the ancient Palace gates, that passed the test of time, and they were admiring the Palace outsides while the Palace Guards came for them someone came and asking for them, and then said that Yotta said to take care of them, while they were bringing into the Palace, and that he should came for them shortly. Donkey Teeth asked some food for the Dragon, which make it waggling his tail happily like a puppy (a BIG one) and Donkey Teeth came to calm down it, while Sassy Rabbit retorted it to “stay quiet!”, and looked like the Dragon learned the lesson.

They were ushered to a dining room with a beef stew being served, and Donkey Teeth made a weird face while eating the stew and complaining about it, but being retorted by Sassy Rabbit about her matters, and Wandering Bee was not better…

In the meantime, the doors to the palace opens and someone enters and get nearby the table and the Pilgrims, asking for the Pilgrims, and Sassy Rabbit presented the Pilgrims. This was Yotta, the one who sent the letters. Yotta asked about help because the Sages didn’t took any of the Assistants like him seriously. Sassy Rabbit asked for the calculations for helping him. Yotta was not against the Ishida collision, as the others he accepted what nature would do, but the problem was if the city could be destroyed by the flood.

As before, Sassy Rabbit tried to convince it to evacuate the city, but they thought that were no time. And part of the “Don’t Act, React” Wisdom of the Sages. He explained the Sages was around for many time, but Donkey Teeth said that they learnewd with the Temple’s Scholars and they maybe have a solution that they don’t have. Yotta said they could arrange an audience for the Pilgrims, and Sassy Rabbit asked again for the maps and calculation so they could think on it.

While Yotta gone to look for the maps and calculations, the Pilgrims started to think on some ideas:

Donkey Teeth talked on fit some people under the city before the flood came. Wandering Bee thought on create a bubble of air, a dome to protect the city no matter how much water came and provide some air, but Sassy Rabbit said that people would suffocate sooner or later. Wandering Bee gone in the Donkey Teeth’s vibe to go with a hole wide below in the city.

Yotta then come back with the calculations and maps. Sassy Rabbit chosed to go and do some Teamwork with Wandering Bee, as he was the Cleverest on the Pilgrims. Wandering Bee looked for the Calculus and maps and they discovered that Ishida would go and collide straight directly, or at least go so near that the Ishida goes get near enough to flood Jukku.

They considered also a evacuation plans and if there would be time enough to another place nearby, at least for some time, as the city would be under water for sure, and how many time they had before the collision, and it was less of a month, nothing changing.

Donkey Teeth asked about the collision, if it was “natural”, based on the Temple Missing and how the Gravity was affected, or if there was something else pushing Ishida against Jukku outside nature and gravity. Wandering Bee said there’s nothing on this.

Sassy Rabbit then asked if there would be any way to push Jukku out of Ishida’s way (that was crazy even for Rabbit’s standards), and Donkey Teeth asked for Jukku’s geology, looking for convenient cave systems, but there was small caves, and no canals to make the flood goes as a draining system.

Sassy Rabbit tried to put a Fate Point to declare a really crazy (as a March hare?) idea about lost technologies by ancient civilization but that’s nothing that could put it aware on this. The roll was not good and she expended another Fate Point, as she Easily Can Go Overboard and she can’t believe people can’t be saved…

It was now Donkey Teeth that thought on the Sky animals migration routes, and maybe make some of the Sky Whales goes so thirsty they could drink the flood. Sassy Rabbit also thought on use the Dragon to herd the Whales and use them as ships to get out Jukku. They looked the Dragon eating and thought on the idea of using the Dragon drink that much liquid, but there’s no one nearby, although they came based on migration. They would need to ask the Sages to calculate the migrations, and there’s a place they could go, that is away from the city, to calculate the migrations, but they would need to wait for the night, as there was daylight.

Wandering Bee was looking for extra books in the Royal Sage Archive, for any books. Donkey Teeth would go for the Astronomers and Sassy Rabbit goes with her, while Wandering Bee goes to the Archive.

In meanwhile, before goes to sleep, Donkey Teeth looked for the Dragon, and gone to sleep, for getting to the Astronomers.

And then… Maybe… Find some clues to save Jukku.

In the next game.

Some Backstory

In this first session we started by putting some extra background on some characters.

  • The group were outcast even Flying Temple;
  • Frantic Fox was into some mess with spirits from the Forest Worlds, while trying to solve diplomatic problems between the people and the spirits in the Forest Worlds, and Donkey Teeth saved him, by frighten them;
  • Donkey Teeth almost got expelled from the Flying Temple, because she’s hotheaded and she messed things very hard and go violent all the time.
  • Sassy Rabbit saved Donkey Teeth to be expelled the things by helping to rescue some warring god’s sacrifices. Things just didn’t gone worse, because Sassy Rabbit and Donkey Teeth gone as fast as they could away from that planet;
  • Donkey Teeth was cursed by some gods before getting into the Temple;
  • Frantic Fox helped a little planet from being attacked by pirates;
  • Wandering Bee is the next in the line to take care of the Honey Bee World, that was saved by Frantic Fox and Wandering Bee;
  • Donkey Teeth is rough and tough and that this is a good thing;
  • Sassy Rabbit’s biggest “secret” (that the others knows) is that she was left behind in the Flying Temple because in the world she born people with animal features are expelled from their society. As her nose is black and leathery as a rabbit’s, there was only two options: left she to die or give her to a pilgrim that was in the time to send her to the Temple;
  • Frantic Fox helped Sassy Rabbit to take a memento from their parents: her mother’s rubber strings, that she uses for her “rabbit ears” hair buns. This made Sassy Rabbit goes very loyal to Frantic Fox, as this were very important, as they rescued the strings from the local gods, that were not happy at all with this;
  • Wandering Bee helped Sassy Rabbit when she almost fumbled a letter to stop a war where her impulsiveness almost made everything goes to the dogs. Sassy Rabbit was so frustrated that people could not see why war is a “meanie thing”, and Wandering Bee helped her and was very supportive;

The Dragon

Everything starts with the Pilgrims around a fire. There was a Dragon that show out of nowhere and Donkey Teeth named it Murrrrgghh, with Frantic Fox was frantically zipping all around trying to understand what happened, being stopped by Sassy Rabbit. Frantic Fox tried to scratch things so maybe the Temple could reappears out of nowhere.

The Dragon was almost as confused as the Pilgrims, while Sassy Rabbit tried to show everyone that the Dragon has something with the Temple dissapearance. While trying to fly again, hopping like a litte bunny running around the ground, but with a Fair roll, she got a little over the air, and…

“Oooohh… Something is happening!”, said her, and Frantic Fox had gone to take her.

Donkey Teeth tried to talk with the Dragon, calling him it “Murrrrgghh”, to which the Dragon answers back. At the same time, Wandering bee was humbling looking to a crystal jar where some bees where talking with him.

Sassy Rabbit looked to the Dragon and felt the Dragon was as Playful as a Puppy, although a big, 65 meters long one. John also said that the Dragon, although white, looks rainbow colored. And Alice put on the Dragon that it likes food, music or shiny things. Wandering Bee looks that the Dragon waggles his long (30ft - 10m) tail when excited.

The Past

When the Pilgrims get back to the fire, they started to remember their last letter, about a man with a fish stuck in his head, that he could not take out, took by Donkey Teeth. Frantic Fox had discovered that it not like the man took a fish on his head, but the fish took the man like an automobile, riding him all around, and that they were talking with the fish all the time. The Pilgrims had separated then and talked that this would not be good and both apologizes. Also, the Pilgrims developed ways to the fishes avoid to joyride the humans.

Sassy Rabbit and Frantic Fox were happy that they solved the letter so easily… But Donkey Teeth was a little skeptic that the gods could make things to make the fishes joyride people again. Frantic Fox was waiting to go back to Temple for monk’s compliments and for eat. But, while the Pilgrims are going back to the Temple, the Worlds were going darker, like in an Eclipse, and the Worlds orbit were collapsing! Even Sassy Rabbit found a coin world that shouldn’t be there, Frantic Fox found some nebulas lights gone out, and in the smallers planets, people start to run for their airships, frantically.

The Pilgrims found a family that were concerned with this darkness, while they were going to the Festival of Plants in Forest Delta Planet. With the darkness they could not find the best way for the planet, and they needed plants to get into Forest Delta.

The plants was easy to be solved, as Wandering Bee’s bees could polinate some of the other plants. But Donkey Teeth just thought she was the leader, and gone Forceful against Frantic Fox, that wanted to help, but Frantic Fox pushed on Donkey Teeth’s fact that she was almost expelled from the Temple, and that they could help those people while going for the Temple. Sassy Rabbit said that the Wandering Bee’s bee could help, but Frantic Fox was trying to avolid the group splitting. Sassy Rabbit so asked Wandering Bee how much time his bees would need to do their job. And to get to Forest Delta, they should get just some hours. So, the Pilgrims got to help the man, called John, that are basically farmers that were going for Forest Delta, with the Pilgrims doing some mess for eating.

The captain was helped by Pilgrims in the past, by making water goes into his planet, and Donkey Teeth remembered about it. Sassy Rabbit was trying to understand what Donkey Teeth was talking about the others’ lack of focus, but Donkey Teeth just smalltalked Sassy Rabbit back to the sandwiches.

After that, John showed his map for the Pilgrims and there was planets out of the same place, and others are not were they should be. While Sassy Rabbit just said that maybe something happened with the Temple, Frantic Fox looks like, albeit the planets was not at the same place, they were going to the correct direction, although they could try to assist the navigation. While Sassy Rabbit was looking to the map upside-down, she and Donkey Teeth and Frantic Fox looks like doing something from the Three Stooges, Wandering Bee looked for and found the correct route without using the map. Donkey Teeth thought Wandering Bee’s should use bee’s dances and pheromones to pass instructions, and Sassy Rabbit just stuck her tongue for him. Alice spent a FP so Wandering Bee should do exactly this, so his bees answered for the dance.

Things a little chaotic and then people, and there was also something else beside the abscence of light that would be dragging the planets. Frantic Fox was really really confident that the Temple would be there, but Sassy Rabbit was not that confident and she thought that, as the Temple is the source of light of the Many Worlds, no light would just mean no Temple! Either Frantic Fox and Donkey Teeth just asked Sassy Rabbit to focus herself into solving a thing per time. There was stormy clouds over there and they tried to find if there’s something about with the animals, as he learned with Wandering Bee about the migration patterns from the animals.

Frantic Fox talked with some of the birds and the birds said that they don’t know what to do because of the abscense of light, but Frantic Fox pointed them for a good direction. So, he discovered that the animals are also confused by the abscense of light. At the same time, Sassy Rabbit chose to go to the ship’s crow’s nest so she could get and see if there’s any danger.

After some time, they almost arrived at Forest Delta, and John talked to them that they found the building from the toll collecting, but it was very empty. John the captain talked about going with the Pilgrims to the Temple, but Frantic Fox said it would be better to them to just arrive at Forest Delta and them the Pilgrims could go for the Temple. They arrived to the planet were the Festival would happen, but things looked a little empty, the lots of ships reduced to a handful of ships, 500 to 7, even they arriving at time for the Festival.

So, the Pilgrims were now discharged, but they still had some distraught, Donkey Teeth emphatize they should go for the Temple. John the captain provided some boxes with provisions for the Pilgrims, and the Pilgrims got back to the route for the Temple.

Where’s the Temple?

As the Pilgrims got nearer the Temple, they saw that things were more chaotic, planets and animals all out from their places, everything extremely dark, and they found that there was clouds nearby circling where the Temple should be. The Pilgrims started to cross the clouds, but they gone thicker and thicker as near the Pilgrims came from the Temple area. Although Frantic Fox asked Wandering Bee to guide the Pilgrims. Sassy Rabbit tried took the lead, as she’s Ready for Action, but Wandering Bee used his Where my bees are? for Create an Advantage, and then Sassy Rabbit goes over the cloud, finding a way over it to the eye of the hurricane. She looks there and there’s only light and debris.

The Pilgrims goes over and could see that there’s storm clouds and so. They could see some of the stonework and statuary from the Temple, chunks of the temple flying all around. They found a small island where the Temple should be. At the same time, they found their flying ability was fading away…

Each of the Pilgrims tried to get on this island without just crashing straight away, as they could not fly. Donkey Teeth just punched the air, like trying to punch gravity back, Sassy Rabbit was going upside down going head straight and so. The dice was rolled for see if the Pilgrims would hit the island and if they avoid crash straight.

Frantic Fox took a hold on some poles nearby and just get in the ground safely, although bouncing like a soccer ball. Donkey Teeth just stopped to punch gravity back and curled herself like a ball and hit the ground and jump back with a pose, doing a victory pose to the storm, while showing her teeth. Sassy Rabbit just jumping piece from piece until lands the island gracefully. Wandering Bee also tried Sassy Rabbit’s trick, but in the last one a gust wind just push him a little stronger, missteping the last one, crossing the arms before hitting the ground and gone with a creased face.

They could see that the island was circled by wind and parts of the Temple, in the center something would still be there. Frantic Fox runs for it, and Sassy Rabbit runs behind him. At that time, the island started to collapses. Even with this, Frantic Fox stayed run to that place. Wandering Bee was fascinated… In a sarcastic way. Sassy Rabbit’s nose was twitching and she said for the others that the place was dangerous and so they should go forward to avoid danger. Sassy rolled really bad, but as she’s always Ready for Action, an FP let a reroll that was better, although she almost was hit by some of the debris.

Donkey Teeth started to watch for hazards, and she saw some Hazards, while Frantic Fox continued to run to the place he wanted, and by using his tail-like hair he tried to break a gust of wind to go through but failed, but Donkey Teeth launched a big rock to help him by, and then, using some of the Free Invokes from Donkey Teeth and an FP, he stayed fighting through the gust of wind.

Frantic Fox was fighting the storm, but looks like he’s losing, and the others needed to help getting him back, using a vine to pull him back. Donkey Teeth had pulled Frantic Fox back, with Sassy Rabbit help, and that provides the Pilgrims with a rope to try to get through. Wandering Bee tried to help, but he was send back agains Sassy Rabbit and Donkey Teeth.

After all this, the wind died down on the place, but the place was crumbled, with cracks that shows that things would collapse soon. The Pilgrims gone to whatever that thing was, and then the Pilgrims dawned that The Temple had gone!. Sassy Rabbit started to look everywhere to see if there’s any clue about what happened. She saw something egg-shaped almost the size of two heads. Frantic Fox ran for the egg-thing and started to see what that thing was, and Sassy Rabbit touches the egg, and feel warmness, and calmness. Donkey Teeth discovers that it is fuzzy like velvet, while the rest of the island was breaking, collapsing piece by piece.

Donkey Teeth tried to lift the egg before everything collapsed with Frantic Fox’s help. They leaved the place, at the same time the egg started to hatch. Frantic Fox and Sassy Rabbit sat in the egg, like a chicken, and the egg was starting to hatch, and the island goes very small, circling the egg. When all the Pilgrims sit in the egg, it cracks and they saw something going out the egg. From the egg something like a spiderweb spreads, and they felt the gravity a little small, the Pilgrims pushed aside. When Sassy Rabbit tries to get near, the egg finished to crack. A Dragon.

With this, the Pilgrims started to skydiving to next planet below them! They needed to get back to the Dragon if possible, or they would plummed themselves to the planet. Sassy Rabbit, Frantic Fox and Donkey Teeth came to the Dragon, but Wandering Bee continued to fall. The other Pilgrims tried each other a way to convince the Dragon to catch Wandering Bee, but Donkey Teeth almost made the Dragon go angry with them, until Frantic Fox convinced the Dragon (with some food) to help rescue Wandering Bee, and the Dragon catched Wandering Bee, his clothes on the Dragon’s teeth. Sassy Rabbit then gone like Indiana Jones and took Wandering Bee from where he was and put him over the Dragon with the other Pilgrims.

Then, they feel lighter, so they could then land, and they gone back from where they started…

… ready for whatever happens next session.
