The Astronomer and the Librarian
The previous Session left us with the Pilgrims now knowing what was happening: Jukku was to be flooded by Ishida!
While Wandering Bee does his research at the Library (which explains why Eddie was out), Donkey Teeth and Sassy Rabbit got to the Observatory by fly with the Dragon. Sassy Rabbit made Murrgh stay outside and they two got to talk with a woman that worked in the Observatory, and Sassy Rabbit asks for her about Ishita and Rova. The astronomer, Jella, put some astral maps and showed that, albeit all the planets were gone chaotic because the abscense of the Temple, Ishida and Rova looks like going straight against Jukku, like something was pulling them to Jukku.
And only people as powerful as the Monks were able to manipulate the planets orbit, that wasn’t see in Jukku by most. Jela talked about how the monks pushed the planets out of the orbit. Donkey Teeth asked about migratory patterns for animals and animals big enough to drink Ishita, but this would be not enough. Also, she said about registries and chronicles about the time the monks were in Jukku, so Donkey Teeth and Sassy Rabbit thought it could be a good idea to get and read that to discover if someone were using monks’ techniques to pull Ishida to Jukku. And there’s just 72 hours to avoid the problem, they could not waste any time.
Jella was also excited when she discovered the Pilgrims were there with a Dragon, and she come to see it with some cookies, which make Muurrggh very excited, and Sassy Rabbit tried to put it on a good behavior. Jella was really worried with the idea to feed the cookies to the Dragon, leaving the action for Sassy Rabbit. Jella asked them how rare is to have with a Dragon, and Sassy Rabbit said that the Dragon was hatched from an egg that were where the Temple was. Jella said that was really weird and thanked the Pilgrims by showing her the Dragon. And Donkey Teeth reinforced on how the Dragon was polite, and Sassy Rabbit said that were not an excuse to not be well-behaviored.
They got back to the Kingdom and chosed to go to the library. They saw Yotta, that already knew about the talk between Jella and them, and about the cookies. Sassy Rabbit asked about any chronicles or even clues about the last time the monks of the Flying Temple was there, and Yotta said they could introduce them for Vato, the librarian.
Vato was very old, 80+ years. Donkey Teeth came all aboard, and Sassy Rabbit stopped her, while getting to the Librarian. Vato was busy but could answers some questions for them. Sassy Rabbit asked for the chronicles for the last time the Monks were in Jukku, but Vato said that only the King and the Great Sages could be access for this. Sassy Rabbit said that they were in a hurry and that the flood would kill people if they don’t stop this, while Donkey Teeth said that that was not Nature’s force, but someone using the Monks techniques, that was pulling Ishida against Jukku. Vato was irredutible, and Sassy Rabbit tried to emphatize the too few time they had and to the fact that Vato looked like a guy that was wise, but Vato was irreductible.
Sassy Rabbit used the fact that The Temple was missing! to say that they were the best option Jukku had for helping, and Sassy Rabbit entered a Contest against the Vato, saying about how important was for them to read the chronicles books for any kind of clue they could on about the techniques and so, but Vato only answers for the King and the Sages on this topic. Sassy Rabbit lost somewhat her temper and used her Stunt to put Vato into a Elegant Defense to put him using just his worst Approach (Sneaky) on his next action and somewhat tried to intimidate him. But Vato was pushing hard, but Donkey Teeth revealed his teeth, and Sassy Rabbit pushed him really hard.
Vato hit a button below his table and said on how to obtained a permission to the chronicles and said were the books are. Also said that those books were left by the monks. Yotta said that the Library was not public, only the King and Sages could access… Sassy Rabbit also said Yotta that they were running out of time and so there’s no time for niceties… With a +7! Yotta said that they should wait for the morning, for Sassy Rabbit’s exasperation.
An unexpected visit in the night
Yotta pushed them to the guest rooms, for Sassy Rabbit exasperation. While Donkey Teeth tried to calm down her friend, Sassy Rabbit couldn’t believe on the kind of secret they were hiding about the Monks, so something was fishy on this all.
Donkey Teeth said that maybe that was nothing, but Sassy Rabbit remembered her on their talk with Jella, all about the non-chaotic movement Ishida and Rova had, even with the Temple missing. Donkey Teeth suggested to break on the library, but Sassy Rabbit was not convinced they should try this. Donkey Teeth suggested to go to sleep, but Sassy Rabbit was still thinking on there’s something fishy on that.
With another +4, Sassy Rabbit heard the door being unlocked, while Donkey Teeth was sleeping. Sassy Rabbit was so pissed that she thougt that, if someone want to see her mad as a Hatter, they would see. She saw two masked people getting in and going nearby herself and Donkey Teeth. When they get nearby, Sassy Rabbit goes and BOOH! them to a big scare! Donkey Teeth also was awaken by Sassy Rabbit’s scare on the guys. And while Donkey Teeth tried to bite her hooded guy, Sassy Rabbit used her bed sheet as bolas to lock her hooded guy’s feet, making him trip and fall. Donkey Teeth bites his opponent wooden weapon, while Sassy Rabbit made the guy trip.
The other guy evades, when Sassy Rabbit says Donkey Teeth they already had one to talk with. Sassy Rabbit started to intimidate that guy, saying that she was now really mad as a March Hare and that she wants to know what he wanted to do with them, OR ELSE… Donkey Teeth tried to take her guy, but he could escape, even Donkey Teeth biting his pants.
The guy was shaking and frozen, not answering them. Donkey Teeth used her teeth to intimidate him, while Sassy Rabbit took him by the collar and said if he doesn’t talk what’s happening, she would left him to Donkey Teeth (by this providing Passive Teamwork +1 for Donkey Teeth). The guy was freaking out with all this, because Sassy Rabbit was as much un-Pilgrim-ish as possible, really mad as a Hatter. Donkey Teeth was successful, and the guy started to ask to not be hurt, to which Sassy Rabbit says he’ll not be hurt if he talks about what’s happening.
Sassy Rabbit asked on who send him and why, but the guy stayed on begging for his life (he didn’t know that Sassy Rabby would not hurt him for serious and that she was just pushing him to spill the beans). The guy was sent to convince the Pilgrims to leave, so there was someone that wanted the Pilgrims out and that would profit on this all. Sassy Rabbit just wanted even more to know who send them. The guy said that the Pilgrims should go, because whatever they would discover would only bring problems, and Sassy Rabbit asked whom. The guy said “everyone” and Sassy Rabbit said if this included people that would be flooded by Ishida.
Donkey Teeth said that he knew that they would not hurt him, so this would not work, so Sassy Rabbit asked Donkey Teeth to “do the honors”. In the same time, the Dragon woke up and started to growl, the Pilgrims upsetting making him upset too. Sassy Rabbit has the idea to show the guy for his little friend outside, A.K.A. the Dragon. That was not a good idea, as the guy fainted when looking the Dragon. Sassy Rabbit and Donkey Teeth didn’t allowed Murrgh to do anything with the guy, as this could give it a stomach ache.
The commotion made was enough to call the guards to the Pilgrim’s room. When the Captain (yep, the same one that arrested Sassy Rabbit) came, he asked what the Pilgrims were doing with one of the Great Sages (the hooded guy). Angry and exasperated with the revelation, Sassy Rabbit said the Sage tried to attack them on their beds. The Captain didn’t looked amused enough. They took the Sage and got out the room, while Sassy Rabbit controlled back Murrgh saying that eat the Sage would give him a stomach ache (again).
All this commotion worked the rest of the castle, and them the Sage wake up saying that was just a misunderstanding, which make Sassy Rabbit really, really, mad. Donkey Teeth was the one to stop Sassy Rabbit to worse things that time (what a time!). The Guards looks unhappy with Sassy Rabbit being so posh and making threats and demands, and Donkey Teeth was really trying to stop Sassy Rabbit to do a big mistake. Sassy Rabbit compelled her Banner and that was the last straw on all this for her and gone for the Sage and said “You messed up with the wrong Pilgrim!”, making everyone looking on how she was out of the box. More Guards came to the room and everyone was convinced Sassy Rabbit attacked the Sage, and Donkey Teeth needed to stop Sassy Rabbit on a Contest.
Sassy Rabbit was crazy because they were running out of time, and Donkey Teeth said that they should no be arrested or banished from Jukku, because that this would not help. Sassy Rabbit asked why the Sage attacked them, and Donkey Teeth said her they should discover this after, while they were somehow fighting, Donkey Theet trying to stop and Sassy Rabbit trying to not be stopped. As Donkey Teeth stops Sassy Rabbit and hold her, the Guards got the Sage out safely, and a frustrated and sad Sassy Rabbit remembers herself on the situation of Jukku population, that’s being treated as trash, and started to cry copiously.
Before they go sleep, the Sages lock the Pilgrims at their room. One of them, the Third one, looks for them and says that is important that Ishida crashes against Jukku, and the Pilgrims grow abashed with this. He says that is the Way of the Nature, but also says that he was the one pulling Ishida against Jukku. Donkey Teeth call this insanity, and Sassy Rabbit basically says they are murderers. As he says that the Pilgrims would not understand, Sassy Rabbit says that the Sages should not lecturing or being condescending with them, as they are Pilgrims, not kids, and they saw things he would not believe it’s true.
The Flying Temple Books
The Sage made them a propose: he could show them the books in the Library Private Collection for them, to show them that they should not interfere. Sassy Rabbit was suspicious, while Donkey Teeth says that was their idea all the time. The Sage bring them to the Library, and Varo opened to the Private Collection for them. The Sage shows the books and they recognized them as Books from the Flying Temple. He took one of them, very old and with the symbols of the Flying Temple, and opened it. The book was about the Moviment of the Planet. Sassy Rabbit just want to understand why he’s doing this craziness, and Donkey Teeth askes how they have all this, as The Temple is Missing!
The Sage says that this is exactly the reason they have those books, as The Monks scattered some of the Books all around the Many Worlds for safekeeping, almost as they were foreseeing the Temple disappearence! For centuries, some Monks left at Jukku (and, as far they came into, all around the Many World) some copies or even originals of the Flying Temple books. So, they were using the techniques learned with the Flying Temple books to pulling the planets. Sassy Rabbit was learning…
The Sage said Jukku was dying, as shown by earthquakes growing in number, and the King was trying to rally people to safety, but the common people didn’t believe as they couldn’t see the danger coming. The Sage’s plan was to bring Ishida and somewhat shows a “real” disaster and convince people to hear the King and get out Jukku. Sassy Rabbit was skeptic on if this would work and worried with the risks involved, so she asked to look for the book. The Sage slams the book and says that only some people could learn those techniques, like the Monks, and them as Pilgrims would be not powerful enough to learn those techniques. Only the wisest people could learn this, said the Sage.
He understands Sassy Rabbit’s worries, but says that they could do this safely, but Sassy Rabbit is not convinced. Sassy Rabbit wants to see if she could learn this, but the Sage tries to make Sassy Rabbit see that they are doing their best. Sassy Rabbit is a little upset, as people are blind for the danger, no information at all, which could grow into a widespread panic. The Sage, however, says that by provoking a “controlled” flood, they could put at people heads the need to get out. The King know about this plan and is all on it… Or so says the Sage.
Sassy Rabbit has no reason to believe it, and Donkey Teeth is skeptic also. Sassy Rabbit says that they and Murrgh made more to make people aware of dangers than the Sages. The Sages and the King, he says, are all respecting the ways of Nature, but the King also have responsibilities for his people and protect them. Donkey Teeth questions that people would see the signs of the planet dying, like crops failing, animals dying and so, and this would convince them to leave out Jukku. The Sage says, however, that they already are having this problem, and they don’t know in practice how much time they have before Jukku dies, and they need to convince people to start get out Jukku and they want to do this by convincing them about the natural disasters and that the planet will be flooded.
Donkey Teeth asked on how they will move the people, and the Third Sage says the King has plans on this, but they need how things will go. Sassy Rabbit is very concerned that things can goes amok very easily, as Ishida is so big and full of water. The Sage agrees with Sassy Rabbit, but he says that this is what the King wants to do, but the Pilgrims could help him to convince the King to be more energetic on the relocation plan. Sassy Rabbit is not convinced, but Donkey Teeth sounds convinced, no matter how crazy this stuff sounds.
Sassy Rabbit still wants to read the book, and the Sage still doesn’t want her to see it, and it’s when Varo shows himself saying that the Library is closing. No matter how much Sassy Rabbit says that there’s no more Temple and they are the near thing anyone can see by now from a monk, the Third Sage is adamant on that only monks and Sages could read those books. Donkey Teeth convince Sassy Rabbit there’s no need of a ruse and they should accept things as they are by now. Vato ushers the Pilgrims out the Library and Sassy Rabbit, already on the worst of her humor says that they Pilgrims should just get out Jukku and leave them by their own, as they can’t help people that doesn’t want to be helped. Donkey Teeth says they should talk with Yotta at morning to decide the next steps.
They find Yotta, that was in his pyjamas as an Assistant of the Sages (so he was also woke up with all the commotion before) and he asked what’s going on, and Donkey Teeth talks all the Sage told them. Yotta is abashed, as he never heard about the planet dying and those plans, and is very odd, as he works for the Sages, so he would heard something like that. He feels the Sages is upsetting the Nature with those plans. Sassy Rabbit confirms that the Sages are using Flying Temple’s techniques to do this, but they weren’t allowed to see those books. Yotta looked confused on this, and he feels there’s no safe place. They need to talk to the King, while Sassy Rabbit is really hopeless on the Sages, and for her a uprising from the people would be the only way to save them, by saying them the truth.
Donkey Teeth can’t believe that the people would do this, and Sassy Rabbit says that they could do this by saying the truth using part of the lies the Sages created about. Yotta looks odd, as they had earthquakes all the times, as Jukku is somewhat big, but there’s odd on how the Sages trying to see things, and Sassy Rabbit says the Sages are thinking on protect their own skin. For Yotta everything is very odd, as the Sages sounds always as very honest people, so the only option that they still have against that weird plan is go for the King. But Sassy Rabbit says they should go by now, but otherwise the Sages could have time to brand the Pilgrims as crazy and Yotta as a traitor before anything. Yotta, otherwise, says they should do this by the book or otherwise they would raise suspicious that they should not.
Yotta says that they should get away the Castle for some hours while Yotta do the preparations, and Sassy Rabbit agrees, saying Donkey Teeth to take Wandering Bee (that was sleepy) and go to Muurgh and get away the Castle. They could, worst case, sleep over him, as the Dragon is big enought to support all of them. They get outside the city and lift a camp like the one in the start of all this. Yotta would send for them when everything is ready. Sassy Rabbit is so stressful that she doesn’t want to play with Murrgh, and she says for him that is not about him, but she isn’t in the mood for playing (very rare of Sassy Rabbit!), and Donkey Teeth gets to play with Murrg to pass the time. Sassy Rabbit is so need on some sleep that they ask them to stop. So they do and get to take some rest.
With the King and the Council of Jukku
Next day, a hooded figure came to the Pilgrims: it’s Yotta saying he arranged for the Pilgrims be received to the Council of Jukku and to the King, but they needed to go now. Although still angry with all this, Sassy Rabbit put herself on her best to go for it, while Donkey Teeth was really excited with this.
They were sent for the Throne Room, and they could see all the people looking for them. In the Throne there was a very regal man on it, obviously the King of Jukku, with her wife and other personalities. Sassy Rabbit is very stressed out and almost forgot her manners, but Donkey Teeth saves them by politely saying that they were concerned on the Plan that the King was talking about. The King sounded confused on all this, and the Pilgrims talked about the Plans that the Sage was doing under (supposely) the King’s knowledge.
The King looks abashed as he says there’s no Plan that he was knowing about. Looks like there was no Plan, at least on King’s knowledge: he know about Ishida going toward Jukku, but nothing about any plan. Sassy Rabbit tries to read the King, and see that he is totally genuine on not knowing about any plan. There was no Sages there at the moment, and Sassy Rabbit pushes to the King get the Sages NOW!!! on a very unrespectful way that makes the King goes angry with her, saying that he doesn’t takes orders and the Pilgrims were guests and should behave if want to stay that way. Sassy Rabbit humble herself and beg for calling the Sages, as sounds for Sassy Rabbit that the Sages are hiding something. Donkey Teeth confirms that the Third Sage talked all this Plan for them.
The King is abashed, because he doesn’t asked for this, and Jukku was there for millions of years, and he thinks if the Sages were really on this, and the Pilgrims knew that they are. Donkey Teeth says that maybe there’s altercations in the middle of Sages. The King talks with the Captain to bring the Sages to the Council and Donkey Teeth emphatizes the hurry, because they don’t know what they could do together.
Fifteen minutes later, the Six Sages, all draped in very good looking habits, and they got together. The First Sage asked politely why they were there, and the King talked about the history the Pilgrims brought to him about controlling the planets with the techniques learned with the Monks of the Flying Temple, which the First Sage denies. The Third Sage looked a little worried, however, giving some steps back, as he knew they talked about this with the Pilgrims. Sassy Rabbit reveals that the Third Sage showed them about “a certain book in the Private Collection in the Library” left by the Monks and that could allow those who learn from it to control the Planet’s movement, controling the skies, and by this way they would be ushering Ishida and Rova towards Jukku.
Before any of the Sages tries anything, Donkey Teeth says the King to make sure that the Sages could not be able to get away from the Throne Room, and the Third Sage says that he have nothing to fear and doesn’t know what the Pilgrims are talking about, and the Pilgrims asks why he stepped back if so on, and Sassy Rabbit said about his breaking into the Pilgrims room. The Third Sages says that the Pilgrims are outsiders and they were the ones that were bringing the planets agains Jukku, and he tried to imply that, as they are from the Temple, they could do this.
Sassy Rabbit said that it was true that they were from the Temple and that the Monks were powerful enough to control the skies, but they were not powerful enough and didn’t had the knowledge. Also, they didn’t know about the planet movement techniques before the Sage show them the book were the technique was registered. The Sages confirmed the books came from the Temple, but they said they could have learned with the Monks on how to do this, as only the Monks could do this kind of powerful things, pointing to the Pilgrims and asking them to be arrested. Donkey Teeth them rebuked and said that, as the Third Sage said on the library for them, only the wisest could learn that techniques, so they would be available only for real advanced Monks, not Pilgrims like them, in the Temple. The Pilgrims would never learn that kind of knowledge, as they are orphans created by the Temple Monks, and were not ready for this kind of knowledge.
The King is confused on all this and asked the First Sage for his opinion on all this. The Sage looked and said the Sages were really Protectors of Nature, and so they could not change it, but at the same time he read the books the Pilgrims mentioned and he believes the Pilgrims would not be able to use the techniques on them. The King grows upset and almost Angry, as all he knows is there’s a planet going to crash against his own, and he now believes that someone or something is doing this on purpose. Sassy Rabbit thinks that the Third Sage was working rogue on this one, without the other Sages acknowledge. The big question is if the Third Sage was honest on the talking at the library, and this made Sassy Rabbit grows even more crazy and with the idea that something’s fishy on all this.
While Sassy Rabbit looks and tries to read the Third Sage, Donkey Teeth asked the King if they could bring Jella to here, so her could prove the planets are being pushed towards, not part of the chaos that gone into the Many Worlds with the Temple missing. At the same time, Sassy Rabbit says that at least some of the Sages are working on this behind King’s back, almost showing that the Third Sage was going rogue. As the Throne Room was dark, the only Sage the Pilgrims recognize was the Third one, the one who broke into their room and talked to them at the library. In the meanwhile the Third Sage tries to explain the King that he could not control the planets by his own, and the First Sage confirms that one Sage have this power would be unrealistic, but many Sages together could do this, but to this without the King acknowledge would be nonsense, as they are in charge of the King. And this all make the Third Sage even more suspect. The King send the Captain for Jella again and asked the Guards to lock the Throne Room down, so no one could get out.
Jella came in, all abashed with being called to the King, astronomical maps on their hands. The King asked if Jella had seen the Pilgrims before, and Jella confirmed they talked about the planets and so. The King demanded her to talk all about what they talked about, and Jella talked on all their theories and so, and how they came to the conclusion that someone could be using Temple’s techniques to do this. The King came to the conclusion someone is lying to him, and he wants to know who. The King made three Guards get behind the Pilgrims and demanded them to say everything on this planets affair.
Donkey Teeth looks around and see Yotta is not there, and them she says they were called by Yotta shortly after the Temple missing and that the Pilgrims didn’t know anything about this one before the letter came. The First Sage asked if they talked with Yotta, and Sassy Rabbit confirms, also saying that they were called by and showing the letter to the King. When the King looks for the letter, he looked perplexed, as Yotta left the Sages a year before, although working for the Kingdom. Donkey Teeth is abashed. Yotta was one of the sages and was still in the Kingdom, so he could work with someone else to arrange the Pilgrims’ audience with the King, with someone else, maybe a friend in the Sages for a long time.
The King them looked and asked where Yotta is, and the Captain suggested a search against him, and the King ordered it. Then the King looked to the Pilgrims and the Sages and asked whats going on, looking specifically to the Third Sage. The Third Sage stayed on this idea of the Temple Monks sending the Pilgrims to flood Jukku for some mysterious reason, all on the idea that only Monks (and Pilgrims) of the Flying Temple could do this, Donkey Teeth reinforcing they didn’t know anything about this before the letter. The First Sage asked to look to the letter, and Sassy Rabbit present it to the King, that see that the letter had the Official Jukku Kingdom Seal, and the letter was also stamped with the Temple symbols on the problems they would need to deal with. The question was Who authorized this, and this was exactly what the King asked to the Sages, as only the Sages, besides the King, could use the Official Seal.
The King was frustrated, and things doesn’t got better when the Captain came and said Yotta was missing, and they looked everywhere. Donkey Teeth suggested to use Murrgh in the search, as he have (they hope) a good smell sense and he had smelled Yotta before. Sassy Rabbit suggest that they could help by put the Captain at Murrgh, as the Pilgrims could go by flying. But the King forbid everyone to get out until he understands what is happening there, and asked the Captain on all about the Pilgrims, and he talked about how Sassy Rabbit and Donkey Teeth pantsy him and this made Sassy Rabbit get arrested. To their defense, Sassy Rabbit and Donkey Teeth said the Captain could had explain where they were being sent before showing them the prison and why (Donkey Teeth said he was a jerk). The King was angry and asked them to who else they talked with. Sassy Rabbit listed: the Captain, Yotta, Jella, the Third Sage and the King… Ah, and Vato the Librarian.
The King called for Vato, that came. The King asked him about the Monk’s book. And Vato said that only the King and the Sages could ask for the book, and the King asked on who asked for the book, and the Sages were uneasy on this. The First Sage revealed that it was The Third, Fourth and Fifth Sages!
They were conspiring against the King!
The Rogue Sages
The King was perplexed and asked on what they had done, and Sassy Rabbit said that, although one Sage would not have power enough, three certainly could change the movement of the planets! They would had together power enough to rival those of the Monks. The three Sages removes their robes and the Pilgrims could see they had some kind of stones on their hands. They say that Jukku is evil, the Kingdom is corrupt and that the King needs to die and the planet purified by Nature.
Sassy Rabbit get into action before they could do anything against the King, but she failed in her roll, and asked for a Success with a Cost, knocking the stones of their hands before the Guards tackles Sassy Rabbit and put her into a corner. The King now is really mad and demanded to be said on what is happening. The Third Sage repeat what they said before about Jukku being evil and Nature being the only way to purify it. Donkey Teeth is the only one that was unrestrained and could act against the Rogue Sages, as the other Sages were perplexed with the actions of the Rogue Ones. The Rogue Sages were not (in their mind) acting against Sages’ nature as protector of the Nature, but Donkey Teeth says that if they see the Kingdom as corrupt, they should correct it, not drown it.
They took the Temple’s books from the Library and then disappeared from everyone’s eyes, only the First Sage in the room. Donkey Teeth and Sassy Rabbit looked around and felt the Sages used the same teleporting techniques from the Monks, and they could be somewhere 500 to 1000 feet. They come to the Dragon (Sassy Rabbit was freed by the King) and they searched by the Sages, that had gone to their temple.
The temple doors where sealed and Donkey Teeth just CHEWED some of the door to open it. The Sages were into a trance and whatever they were doing was not good. Sassy Rabbit have the idea to make Murrgh goes through the door and asked it to SHOUT OUT LOUD!!!! as way to try to make the Sage get out of the trance. Although this didn’t work. The Pilgrims doesn’t know all about what they are doing, but some hinchs suggested that they were accelerating Ishida and Rova against Jukku! Donkey Teeth than used her Crass out mouth to do the same and Donkey Teeth remember that he was almost expelled from the Temple and Sassy Rabbit and Wandering Bee helped her to get out. That would be the time for her to save the day.
The Sages said it was too late as Ishida would crash against Jukku very soon and stayed on the “The Kingdom is corrupt” trope to justify their actions. Donkey Teeth asked why, and the Sages talked.
Sages were born with powers and they were staple from the kingdom. They were took from early childhood and put into training on how to use the powers and so, but at the cost of no more seeing their family. When a Sage goes away, other were bring to training. And if they are not powerful enough, they were exiled, and their family would never know where they had gone. The Third Sage said that, for 25 years, he never left the Kingdom or saw his family again, and there’s in their mind only a way to escape this slavery. Donkey Teeth suggested to use the Dragon, but the Sages are ready to die for what they believe.
Sassy Rabbit was not against leaving the Sages to drow theirselves, if this would not took others in the splash. The Sage says that everyone knows, or at least heard stories about the Sage’s powers, so they would be as guilty as the King, but Sassy Rabbit said that the common people was not guilty, as was not the Pilgrims. In the Sage mind, the only way to avoid this cycle of slavery of the Sages would be by drowing Jukku. Donkey Teeth was trying to save the Sages, but Sassy Rabbit had enough and was about to leave and try to save Jukku other way. Donkey Teeth tries to do this, although Sassy Rabbit would not try: for her, they deserved whatever happened with them.
Sassy Rabbit gone for a bad cop/good cop to take some advantages to discover Aspects on the Sages, and it was a good success for getting an Aspect Donkey Teeth to convince them that they should avoid the Sages to destroy Jukku. The Sages still talk about the friends they lost and were exiled form the Kingdom because they were not powerful or wise enough. Donkey Teeth tried to talk to their hearts, and they were weakened on their resolution. And they said that their concern is, if someone more powerful than them appears, they would be expelled out of the Kingdom. And with a Success with a Style, they shook out of the trance and get back to help…
When the King came and said to the Guards to expel them and ban them from the Kingdom. Donkey Teeth said they were need to push the planets away from Jukku, and they would not feel at ease to do this knowing about what would happen with them under the barbaric system the kingdom had for the Sages. The King says that it was necessary to take them away from their families.
The King and the Pilgrims them gone into a Contest, when the Pilgrims tried to convince the King that the Sage system was barbaric. Sassy Rabbit tried to read the King but failed, while Donkey Teeth asked to the King to turn the Sage’s career as something worthy of be. Sassy Rabbit screamed that without people, there’s no kingdom, and without a kingdom there’s no King. If the Sages could not do something to reverse the movement of Ishida and Rova, the flood would drown the people, so he would be King of No One. Donkey Teeth remembered lots of events the Temple recorded of what happened when Protectors were brutally treated like the Sages in Jukku.
The King was affected by the Pilgrims’ speeches, and Sages said that all they wanted is to be treated fairly. The King said that they would if Ishida was pushed away back from were it was at the beginning, by word of the King. The Sages accepted and pushed the planets back their places, with the help of the Sages that were not involved in all this. A blue light gone to the sky. Jella looked through a telescope and the planets were stopped and gone backwards back to their places.
So, as far the Pilgrims could say… It was solved that problem…
What could expect the Pilgrims?
We’ll know soon, in the next game!
